The Story of the Air Ambulance

The Story of the Air Ambulance – with Peter Corbett
December 4 2019 at 7.30

In 2009 Peter was rescued from a serious car racing collision at Buxton Raceway by the Air Ambulance who rushed him to hospital. He had severe life threatening injuries and wouldn’t have survived without the help of the Air Ambulance. Since then Peter has spent all his free time fundraising and raising awareness of the work of the service in our area. Peter will tell us how the Air Ambulance came into being and how its work around the country and locally has developed. Despite its crucial work, the service receives no government funding and relies entirely upon donations. We will be holding our Christmas raffle in aid of this life saving cause and there will be some great prizes so do come along and enjoy crackers, mince pies and a festive evening.
